The Mesh box (which was the heart of our system and the gateway to the outside world) has been getting progressively more unreliable.  We were planning a staged move from it and then it failed almost completely.  Fortunately we had the bits in place and it just necessitated a rather more rapid switch over than initially planned.

Since then we have had almost no downtime of the central network (apart from a couple of power cuts) which is fantastic
